May is Pregnancy Awareness Month

May is Pregnancy Awareness Month and The Great Letdown Family wants to be a part of that. So we have Teamed up with Adventures Of a Minnesota Mom (one of my fav local blogs!) Throughout the month of May we want to share stories from mothers and hopefully offer some advice and support for our readers. If you are currently expecting or had a premature infant and would like to share your story, Please feel free to email me at Megan@Thegreatletdown.com. Your story will be featured on my site and AOAMM too. I will be making a Page just for our mom stories.

This upcoming month I would also love to get donations for our local NICU at the St.Cloud Hospital where my beautiful daughter was born premature. If you are a company or person with a big heart and would like to help donate products or a TAX deductible cash donation to the St.Cloud Hospital NICU please email me at Megan@Thegreatletdown.com and in the Subject headline put "Donations".

Each person counts, the kids we birth today are our future.

I am a mother of a premature baby, my daughter had to spend some time in the NICU, I have included some photos telling her story.

These words are in collaboration with Heidi at AOAMM

Baby Emporio Review and Giveaway

If your like me you love to dress your kids in the cutest things you can find. I came across Baby Emporio, a company that has the most amazing footwear for little feet! They have so many great styles and colors for all outfits that you put your LO in. My 9 month old has the boy sneaker socks! There so adorable and come in a box of 7, in all different colors.

I love the socks not only for the adorable design that has fooled many I know that my son is actually wearing shoes, but the no skids on the bottom. Jack is starting to walk around and that's important. My mother in law has wood floors and when we are there I am not worried that he will slip and fall when he tries to stand against furniture. We have the 6-12 month sock and you may think that you cant put what you do on a 6 month old on a 12 month, you can though there nice and stretchy. There also one of two kinds of socks that actually stay on my sons feet.

My son also got the Kammi Freezable Teether Doll. If you are like me and feel that a wash cloth with water and put into the freezer is the best teether, you will love this doll. Its that same concept but easier to use, longer lasting and child safe! The knots hold so much water and stay so cold for so long. I love it. They come in 4 colors and are made terry cloth just like your wash cloths at home. I love it because its a drool catcher too! Its handy to keep with me in the diaper bag for that as well and because the knots stay cool for so long its a easy travel teether too.

As you can see my son and I really love Baby Emporio! They have things for both genders and styles for all the mamas that wish to make a fashion statement with there little one.

Please check them out online at Http://Www.BabyEmporio.Com For all the details and for shopping there inventory for you special little one. Did I mention all there products make the perfect Shower gift! Order yours today!

TOP 10 REASONS I LOVE TO BREASTFEED

1. I love the connection that I feel with my child.

2. I love the freedom of breastfeeding, no bottles or formula to carry around.

3. Its what I feel is best for baby, and I feel great knowing I am doing what I feel is best for my child.

4. night feedings when baby was really little were not exhausting, no shirt and bra, with baby in bed made that a easy task.

5. The release of hormones actually makes me a happier person.

6. The smile on my child's face.
7. When my child falls fast asleep in my arms while on the breast.

8. No matter what happen or how sad he is I am the one that can make it all better.
9. I love knowing I am his life and food support.

10. Being able to breastfeed my child for any length of time!

Lovable Labels Bookworm collection Review and Giveaway.

Are you the mom that puts their children's name on everything? How about there books they receive? Well Lovable Labels has a great new line of labels called "Bookworm Collection". Its a great collection of durable labels that keep all your child's books neatly labeled and its fun for your child to do with you, even more so for the ones that can write there own name yet like my 3 year old daughter. We were lucky to be able to try these amazing labels made by Lovable Labels company

Lovable labels say "Don't loose it, Label it!" Well that comes in handy with your children's things. Emma and her cousin like to say "that's mine" well when you have it labeled there is no room for a argument when they both have the same things. There labels are strong sturdy and can go through anything that a child can do to it. Emma was so excited and actually scoured the entire apartment to locate all her books to label them.

I love that you can personalize you labels how ever you wish, Emma has a nick name that she is called more then she is called her own. We call her Emma Bug or Buggie/Bug for short. So Emma Bug is what I wanted on her labels as I thought that she would like that a lot. They were easy to peal and stick on the covers or inside of the book, and when she could "mess up" the label I could easily fix it for her.

Of course most of them ended upside down but that does not matter to a three year old. She loves them and we even have more left over for more books that she may receive in the future. I really love the labeling aspect of things, I know that I will be getting more labels from Lovable Labels when Emma attends pre-school this fall to put on her belongings. Lovable Labels has every label for every need such as: Clothing, bag tags, stationary, wire tags, safety, household even shoe tags and that is just to name a few. Lovable Labels is a great company to work with and they have amazing customer service.

Go online and check out there site as there are a lot more labels then what I have listed! Be sure to let them know I sent ya!

Rank: 10/10

Sheild Shell Review and Giveaway

Are you a breastfeeding mother that has a latch issue, inverted nipple, large nipples? Any of these things can leave a mother frustrated as well a baby. Some woman decide to use a Contact Nipple Shield. I use one for my left nipple as it is odd shaped and larger then my right side. That being said, if you are a mother that uses one. Does yours get lost, dirty and not easy to find? Well I have found something that I think you would be interested in. Its called The Shield Shell.

A little information about what The Shield Shell is:
Dana Harness the creator of The Shield Shell was a breastfeeding mother and had to use a contact nipple shield due to her latch issues with her nursling. She soon found out how easy it is to contaminate the contact nipple shield as well as collecting debris and damage. She then thought that there must be something that she can use to store and protect her Shield, and so the The Shield Shell was born.
I truly love mine and believe that it is something that any mother that is using a Contact Nipple Shield needs. It extended the life and use of my shield.

Juno Jr. Review& Giveaway

Closed

Hello all, I am here to tell you about a great children's movie that I got the chance to review with my children. Its called Juno Baby, we got Juno Jr. to which is aimed for children my daughters age.

Juno Baby/Jr company belief:

We firmly believe that by surrounding young children with beautiful music, we can engage their minds, inspire them artistically and nurture them emotionally.

When we decide on a time to watch it with Emma we made it part of our movie night, its something that we can do with just Emma. So I put our 9 month old son Jack down for the night and went into the kitchen to make hot air popped popcorn. We popped the movie in and started to watch with Emma. She was a very exited girl to get something in the mail to watch. About 10 min into it or so Emma got up and started to dance. She looked at me and said:
"Mom, get up and dance with me!"
It was so sweet to see how much she was enjoying herself. I know that these movies are just what they aimed for them to be, encouraging, inspiring, emotionally sound with amazing songs easy for children to learn and relate with. The Juno Company truly have a great idea in toe, with the music and the fun and interactive characters, Juno is Emma's favorite. The movie that we got from The Juno Company is "One Bunny Band" Its a great and music filled movie. I truly think that you would love these movies regardless if your child is a baby or preschool. The woman responsible for Juno is a great person to get to know, Everyone at The Juno Company are great, they have fantastic costumer service and love to keep great communication to there customers/fans. Please be sure to check them out online!
