Happy New Year

Its already 2011, time sure does fly! I want to take this moment to thank my readers for supporting my blog and making what I write worth while. With out you this blog is a bit pointless.

Now on to my year. Its been a long and eventful year, we have had a lot of scares and heartache as well as happy moments. One of the most important things that happen this year is my husbands grandmother Janna was diagnosed with cancer, again. She has fought off cancer before and now with this news we were all not sure if she was going to make it. They told us that she was not doing well and that the treatment might giver her just weeks left. This really hit our family in a hard way. My husband is her baby and this broke him, he already sees his mother struggle with her MS(multiple sclerosis) as well as about 2 years or so ago his other grandmother passed of cancer. But this was not going to stop Janna, she is a fighter and refused to let the cancer win. At one point I believe that Janna just could not take it any more, treatment was just making her feel worse and she just wanted to spend time with her family. She refused treatment. In some ways I see what she was doing, she wants to not be sick when she is at deaths door instead she wishes to spend time with family and laughter!  There was something inside her that told her this just was not her time. She began treatment once again, I can proudly say that her cancer is in REMISSION! She is doing well and even getting her hair back! We are so blessed to still have in our lives, watching her with my children now is even more of a blessing. We love you grandma Rocky, here is to you 2011 is yours!

Other things that happen this year are, My husband and I celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary! We are doing so well and are more in love now then ever before! We also added a new addition to our family, Jack now 6 months of age. I have my daughter and my son, what more could I ask for. Emma will be turning three this February, and I am not ready. I just can't believe that she is so big already. She has the biggest personality and her laughter fills the room. She will be starting pre-school this fall. I will be enrolling her into early education as well, she is so smart. She knows all her ABC's, she can count to 20 and knows a ton of Spanish and that's just to note a few.  She is a wonderful sister and loves her brother so much. I am so lucky to have such amazing children. Needless to say that our year was full and nothing short of eventful. I thank God everyday for my family and friends that  I am blessed with.

Remember to embrace each moment, never have regrets and always forgive. Here is to a new year.
